School’s Out!
Hello everyone! As I’m typing this, summer break is rapidly approaching. We have our last week of after school programming this week, and then we begin summer camp. We are looking forward to another fun year of summer camp, and I am hoping to see many returning and new faces this summer. Spots are limited, so, if you are interested in signing up your child, book your spot now!
Around the Courts
Congrats 3.0 Ladies!
Congratulations to our inaugural USTA 40 & Over 3.0 Women’s team for completing their season! They fought hard this spring and came in a close second place to Shalimar Pointe. Great job to all the ladies on the team, and I can’t wait to see them run it back again next spring!
Cinco De Mayo Mixer
Thank you to all our participants for coming out to our second annual Cinco De Mayo Mixer! A special thank you goes out to Mikaela McManus and Julie Fuller for their help running this event. We had over 30 participants, who enjoyed a fun night of tennis and tacos. We are looking at doing another mixer in the early fall, so keep your eye on the calendar for that.
Junior Team Tennis
Congratulations to all the FWBTC JTT teams on completing their spring seasons! We had 4 teams across all age divisions, and I’m hoping we will see even more kids out there in the fall. We are working on finalizing the dates for the fall season, so please reach out to the desk or Travis Tressler if you are interested in registering your child.
June Happenings
USTA 18 & Over Leagues
We will be hosting 4 different 18 & Over USTA teams (Men’s 4.5, Men’s 3.5, Women’s 3.5, and Mixed 8.0). If you are interested in joining a team this summer, please reach out to the desk or Travis Tressler, and we will give you more information. We will also have limited court time during matches, so please check the online court reservations or reach out to book a court beforehand to ensure your court time!
Court Resurfacing
We have tentatively scheduled court resurfacing for Courts 8-11 for June 12-19, but these dates could change depending on the weather. During this week, court time will be extremely limited with summer camp, lessons, and USTA matches. Please make sure to book courts online or call ahead to make a court reservation during this time.
Summer Camp
Summer camp begins June 5, and will run 9 total weeks this year. We do have a limited number of spots for each week, and online reservations are filling up fast as we approach June. Please check out the calendar for dates, times, and prices, and book your spot now before it’s too late!
Closing Time
With another school year closing out, I would like to thank everyone for another great year of programming here at FWBTC! It is amazing to see all the progress our participants have made, and it is even more amazing to see their love for the game grow. We are continuing to grow along with all of you, and it would not be possible without the support of our community and players. Thank you everyone for reading, and I hope to see you out here on the courts!
