Meet Your Head Pro, William McClelland

William McClelland returned home to Fort Walton Beach in 2018 after formerly serving as the tennis center’s assistant director in 2013.

The USPTA-certified teaching pro is a former Division I player at Troy University, and at the University of West Florida was part of the 2014 NCAA Division II Championship team.

“My personal focus as a coach has been on how to individualize strengths of players to build and overcome weaknesses, and to layer strategy into the games of players that I coach,” McClelland says.

In addition to serving as assistant director at the FWBTC he is the owner/operator of the McClelland Tennis Academy in Pensacola, was the head of tennis for the city of Foley in Alabama, and served as assistant teaching professional for the Shalimar Pointe Country Club in Shalimar, Fla.
