Around The Courts: November Newsletter

Hello everyone, and welcome back to our FWBTC monthly newsletter! With the weather cooling off and Halloween fast approaching, we are super excited for this last week of October and the rest of 2023! We are looking forward to fun events, new programming, and many other play opportunities for the tennis community in FWB.

October Recap

FWB Welcomes Lauren!

I am super excited to announce our newest staff member, Lauren Haack. Lauren has an extensive tennis background, and she has already made a huge impact around the facility. She will be working as a front desk attendant, so please stop by the shop and say hello next time you’re at FWBTC!

Halloween Junior and Adult Slam

Our Halloween Junior and Adult L7 tournament was a blast! We were super excited to have everyone out this weekend on the courts in their best costumes. If you missed out on this spooky fun event, don’t worry, we are planning on hosting these tournaments again next year, so keep an eye on the USTA website for those events!

November Happenings

Saturday Morning Clinics

Due to high demand for our junior clinics, we will be opening a 3rd day for Red Ball, Orange Ball, and Beginner Middle School Tennis. All these clinics will occur on Saturday mornings, and they will be coached by Coach Jillian. We will limit registration to 6 participants, so please sign-up ASAP and secure your spot!

Coaches Training

We will be hosting a coaches training on November 5th from 9-11am. We will focus on both adaptive tennis and wheelchair tennis for those 2 hours. No previous coaching is required. If you are interested, please visit the USTA Florida website for more information.

Thanksgiving Hours

During thanksgiving week, we will be closed at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 22 and closed all day on Thanksgiving, November 23. We will resume our normal operating hours on Friday, November 24.

Closing Time

Thank you all for reading and your continued support of FWBTC and USTA Florida. I truly believe we have one of the best tennis communities in the state of Florida, and we are lucky that we get to serve you all day in and day out. With 2024 approaching, we are looking at new ways to continue to improve your experience at the tennis center. Thanks again and see you all on the courts!
